Connect with me…
I love building software, and I love working with people.
You may have seen me hang my hat at a few places:
GrubHub – where I lead the team responsible for the dashboard that serves their enterprise clients.
Wayfair – where I led the teams responsible for Product Detail Pages.
The Boston Globe – where I got my engineering start rebuilding Boston.com and related properties, and then rebuilding the paywall (cue reddit shame here).
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with really brilliant people who force me to challenge my assumptions day in and day out. The goal of this blog is for me to share my insights as well as process some things that I’m currently wrangling in the wild. Come along for this journey!
Languages I am familiar with:
- English
- French (barely conversational)
- Latin (helped me understand English better)
- Musical Notation (though I prefer to improvise and noodle)
- Java (first programming language in college – Thanks Prof Babaian)
- JavaScript
- PHP

This week’s 1:1 coaching questions
1:1 meetings are an important part of managing a team. It’s much more important that you realize your team’s potential than drive particular expectations when someone is growing, and so – sometimes doing that requires a bit of iteration and creativity. This week, I tried out some new 1:1 questions into my rotation courtesy of…
